Three questions come up when a shopkeeper opens this page. Are my figures mine? What do I get back if I stop in six months? Who can look at them? The answers fit in a few lines, just below. The legal detail follows, for whoever reads it.
Yes. Sales, customers, purchase prices, invoices: you export them whenever you want, in formats another piece of software can open, on the $0 plan included. We do not sell them and we rent them to nobody.
You cancel from your space, with no notice and no fee. Access runs to the end of the month already paid, then you keep a recovery period (stated below) to download your files. After that the space is deleted.
The people you invite, at the access level you give them. On our side, the technical team, to handle an incident or a request coming from you, and every look leaves a named trace. Never another business.
COMZA is business management software being finished. The site you are reading sets out what the product does and collects the addresses of those who want to be told at launch. Nothing else happens here: no account is created, no payment is made.
The site is published by the team developing COMZA. The operating company is being set up: its name, its legal form, its registered office and its registration number will be published here as soon as it is registered, and before any paid account is opened.
One address for everything: a question about the product, a request for an organization, a problem on the site, or erasing your address from the launch list.
contact@comza.appThe site is hosted on a professional web hosting platform, with encryption in transit and a valid certificate. The host's name and the country of the servers are given on simple request to the address opposite.
This page says what is true today, and nothing more. It will fill out as things go: full legal details at registration, terms of sale when subscriptions open.
We supply online business management software and we keep it running. What you type into it is your business, and you answer for it. The files are yours; the software itself stays our property. You stop whenever you want and you leave with your exports.
COMZA is for taking payment and keeping the books of a business: a counter sale, an hour of labour, a 45-minute session, a repair, a member's yearly fee. Inside: register, stock, quotes and invoices, customer records, reports. You use the online version as it stands at the moment you sign in. Features are added regularly. If one has to go, we say so beforehand, not the day after.
The organization that opens the space is its holder. It decides who comes in, at what access level, and it answers for what is done under those accesses. A login is not lent out, not even to the cousin who minds the shop on Saturday: you create him a cashier access, it takes thirty seconds. If a password leaks, tell us the same day. Sign-up information must stay accurate.
What is forbidden: using the service for an illegal activity; hiding operations from your accounts or the tax authorities; entering unlawful content or content that infringes a third party's rights; trying to reach another organization's data; looking for flaws without our written agreement; deliberately overloading the service; reselling COMZA under another name outside the partner programme; harvesting the shared catalog in bulk.
We aim for a service that is available at all times and we do not promise it: there will be outages. Planned technical work is announced in advance and placed at quiet hours. The register, for its part, keeps working on the device with no network. A Saturday at 1 pm, six people in the queue, the connection gives out: you take payment anyway, and the operations go up when the link comes back.
No minimum term. The subscription renews monthly. You stop it from your space, with no notice and no exit fee, and it runs to the end of the month already paid. On our side, we may suspend a space for a serious breach of the bans above or for non-payment, after writing to you and leaving you time to settle.
Free $0, Essential $15, Business $30, Growth $50 per month per organisation, Enterprise on quotation. Every feature is already in the free plan; what changes from one plan to the next is the volume. The 14 free days open the high limits. A card is saved at sign-up; nothing is charged before day 15, and nothing is owed if the account is stopped before then. On day 15 the current month is charged pro rata, then billing falls on the 1st of each month, applicable taxes on top. A price change is announced thirty days ahead and only affects later months. A month already started is not refunded pro rata.
What you enter in your space belongs to you: sales, products, stock, customers, invoices, reports. We take no ownership right over it. We process it on your behalf, to run the service, and for nothing else. The export is in your space, available at any time, free plan included. After the subscription ends, you get it back during the period stated below, then it is deleted.
The software, its code, its screens, its texts, its visual identity and its trademark stay the publisher's property. The subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use, for the term of the subscription and for the needs of your business. It does not allow copying the software, modifying it, or making it available to a third party outside the partner programme.
If a fault on our side causes you direct damage, we make it good, up to what you have paid us in subscription over the previous twelve months. Let us be straight: on a $15-a-month plan, that cap is low. On the other hand we cover neither loss of business, nor lost earnings, nor the consequences of an inaccurate entry on your side, of a use contrary to these terms, of a breakdown of your hardware or your link, nor an event of force majeure. These limits fall away in case of gross or intentional fault. The accuracy of your accounting and tax returns remains your own affair.
The governing law and the competent courts will be those of the country where the company is registered, published here at the same time as the full legal details, and before any paid account is opened. Before any action, both parties seek an amicable solution in writing for thirty days. If a clause were held invalid, the others would go on applying. Any change to these terms is announced to you at least thirty days before it takes effect.
We collect what is needed to open your space, keep it running and collect the subscription. Your business data is not sold, not rented, and not used for advertising, by us or by our providers.
The email address of each person invited, their display name if they give one, their access level, the date of their last sign-in. That serves to open the session, to answer the question "who cashed in the $40 that is missing", and to write to you about the service.
The four sign-up answers: trade, language, currency, time zone. Then the details you add for your invoice header, the plan taken and the billing history. That serves to set the screens, to produce presentable documents and to collect the subscription.
Your sales, services, products, stock, suppliers, invoices and customer records. You alone decide what is in there; we process it on your behalf and at your request. If you record private individuals as customers, it is up to you to tell them they are in your file.
Anyone whose data we process can exercise the rights below. An email to contact@comza.app is enough, with no form to fill in. We answer within a month at most.
For the customers you record yourself in COMZA, you are the controller and we act on your behalf. If one of them writes to us, we pass his request on to you and we help you answer it.
The hardware dealer in the next street may well use COMZA too — he will not see one line of your sales, and you will not see his. The separation holds on four points.
Each organization is shut inside its own perimeter. Every read of data carries the identifier of the organization asking, and a request that does not carry it is rejected instead of served. No screen, no report, no export mixes two organizations.
Everything passing between your device and the service is encrypted in transit. Passwords are never kept in clear, so we cannot read them either. Sales kept on the device during an outage are protected by the session in progress and go up encrypted when the network returns.
One copy a day, kept on a rolling window, on infrastructure separate from production. Restores are tested periodically, on real data put back into a test space, and not just configured on paper.
Sales, services, products, stock, customers, invoices and reports come out whenever you want, in open formats other software can read. The export depends neither on your plan nor on your subscription being up to date.
A shopkeeper scans a twenty-litre can his stock does not know, fills the sheet in once, and the next ones no longer have to type it again: product name, brand, container, barcode, category. The sharing stops at those five fields. Services do not go in at all: an hour of labour, a session or an association fee has no barcode and stays in your space alone.
Running an online service takes three outside parties, listed here by role. Each is bound by a contract forbidding it to use your data for its own ends.
An infrastructure provider runs the servers and the databases, and keeps the backup copies. Its service does not give it access to the content of your data. The country where the data centres sit is stated in the legal notice above.
Technical subprocessorA provider carrying the service's messages: inviting a colleague, resetting an access, a billing notice, a PDF invoice sent to your customer. It sees the recipient's address and the message content, not the rest of your space.
Technical subprocessorA payment provider takes the $15, $30 or $50 a month and issues the receipts. Your bank or card details are entered with them and do not pass through our servers: we hold no card or account number.
Financial subprocessorThe list of these providers with their name, their role and the country of processing is kept up to date and sent by email on simple request. If we change provider on one of these roles, subscribed organizations are warned before the switch, so they can object and if need be cancel with no fee.
contact@comza.appPlenty of businesses buy their management software from someone they already know: the one who sold them the cash drawer, the local installer, the accountant who keeps their books. The partner programme is made for those three trades.
You sell register hardware, readers, printers, or you fit out shops. You show COMZA to your customers, you open their space with them, and you get a share of the subscription every month, as long as they stay subscribed.
You install management tools in companies, you take over existing files, you train teams. You get demonstration spaces, documented technical access and a direct contact for requests out of the ordinary.
You keep the books of several businesses. You enter their spaces at observer level and you pull the exports in open formats. Month end: no more photos of crumpled receipts to decipher.
Write to contact@comza.app stating your business, the region and the languages you cover, roughly how many businesses you follow, and which of the three roles above interests you. No application file, no entry fee, no minimum volume: an exchange of emails is enough to start.
The share paid out, how it is worked out and the payment calendar are in a separate partner contract, not in these terms of use. A partner never gets access to an organization's data without that organization having given it explicitly, and it takes that access away whenever it wants.
